New postings

It's been a long, long time since my last posting! New postings will be going up in the next few weeks.....

Huh? What?

Johnny had ear tube surgery on 10/3 and did very well with it. He has not had a cold again since then (thank goodness), but we hope this will curb him getting ear infections after he gets colds.

Johnny can associate many words with pictures now and can officially say 'Puppy!' I think this is his first two syllable word and he seems very excited about it!

He is still enjoying school and yesterday did 'corn cob art' by painting with corn cobs! Can you believe it? :)

Hand, hand, fingers, thumb.....

That is the name of a book that we read at least once a week to Johnny. Johnny can point to his head, nose, eyes, ears, tummy, and toes. We are working on lips, chin, and knees now.

Johnny loves to put on hats and play with Dad's hats.

15 month well check

Johnny is now 15 months old and celebrated with 5 shots! What a rotten gift!

He weighs 22 lbs. (25th percentile).
He is 31 inches tall (50th percentile)!
And is head circumference is in the 25th percentile.

He had 4 regular vaccination shots and a 5th (the 3rd of 3) to knock out double ear infections that he was diagnosed with over the weekend.

For his visit, the doctor said he was healthy and happy! :)

We get a 'newsletter' every time we go for a well check that tells parents things to be aware of that their child may need or be going through (such as needing iron from cereals, veggies and fruits every day, etc.). One of the main topics in this newsletter was about 15-24 month olds having temper tantrums now. And - Johnny definitely has those now when he doesn't get his way. I think that comes from his Dad!

Happy Grandparent's Day!

Johnny enjoyed seeing all of his grandparents on Sunday for Grandparent's Day. We had a great time watching Johnny's newest tricks and having dinner together!

Johnny can sign 'more,' 'milk,' and 'want.' It is amazing. He also knows where his tummy and head are (and mommy's too!).

Johnny absolutely hates to have his diapers changed now. Toys do work sometimes, but often not. Anyone know of any tips? Please post them!

Ouch again!

Johnny just got over double ear infections again - and a stomach virus (which he gave to Grandma, then Dad, then Grandpa!) - and teething. He never does anything 1/2 way!

The antibiotics are done and we are back on track now. He still loves school and he has a new picture or drawing to bring home every week! We love it! :)

New School

I started at a new school last week. We painted and colored kangaroos and I watched my teachers hop around the classroom last week. This week is hippo week.

We have 'water day' on Tuesdays. I get to wear my swim trunks to school and I get sprinkled by a sprinkler at recess. I giggled a lot last week.

I love my new school so far. They have been especially nice to me since I have had a lot of teething pain this week. I have met a lot of new friends.

Ouch!

I'm getting in all 4 middle top teeth. This is about as good a face as I can give now....
